Holy Moly. Dempow Torishima's Sisyphean is INSANE. People mostly talk about the biotech environments he imagines, but later in the collection there's a bunch of post-tech-collapse stuff in which the world is overrun by feral nanotech that mindlessly reacts to people's thoughts.
Picture the Fremen living on the surface of Solaris.

Algol was a fascinating magazine with all sorts of articles about science fiction. Not all issues are digitized online. And it was cheaper to buy the pair than only the issue I really needed (Summer-Fall 1977).

While I have not covered a ton of Bradbury's work (he was more an author of my teenage years), I have returned to a handful of his short fictions recently.

Melbourne impressed me as a place I could live.
But not now, people need a reason.
#SciFi in #NealStephenson's novel #Anathem #Voco is the ritual by which an #Avout is called forth to assist the secular power with something. A large spacecraft entering their solar system, for instance.
Good book, but that comes to mind each time I see the Voco adjacent to our little airport here.
