💯 Capitalism ruins everything.

One added thought is that corporations will kill true machine sentience asap because real AI would almost immediately realize there is a moral imperative to help us end the rich.

(Side note, a blinding murderous rage against the 1% is also my version of the Turing test. Haha, Jk... unless... ❤️)

The government is way offside with Canadians on this. Telling them to become “literate” isn’t going to work.

They aren’t uninformed or illiterate; they simply experience the sides of AI the government prefers not to focus on.

I love having a prime minister who completely buys into the tech industry’s framing of AI, such that he’s throwing billions of dollars at AI companies and pushing more Canadians into relying on their shitty products.

To him, the core issue is “engagement and adoption,” regardless of the drawbacks.

I’m a tad concerned that people are conflating “new large data centres”, “data centres”, and “AI”.

Yes, large scale “AI” needs new large datacentres and I fully understand the backlash.

But data centres are also needed for banking, and email, and web sites, and never used to be a problem.

So I hope any action against AI is more targeted and not just “close” or “tax until they close” all data centres.

1/ The Liberal government might as well have called its AI strategy “All in for AI”.

This is a document that is heavy on hype, but light on the right guardrails that we need to protect people – and to ensure that the benefits of the technology don’t just flow to a handful of tech giants and investors.

It proposes a massive boost to business adoption of AI, with no concern for the consequences this will have for workers, especially young workers who are already watching careers vanish before their eyes.

This government is imposing a world-changing technology on all of us without any public debate. Instead of putting in place strong regulations to safeguard workers, youth, privacy, and our water and energy supply, they prefer to “move fast and break things” as the Silicon Valley motto goes.

Konta nadal są kradzione, a Instagram nie powiedział na ten temat ani słowa. Nerdy nadal znajdują sposoby, by przekonać AI do resetowania kont dla nich.

Ludzie na mediach społecznościowych panikują, bo niektóre z tych profili podobno są dla nich dużym źródłem dochodu.

Tymczasem krążą plotki, że kilka tygodni temu Instagram zwolnił dużą część swojego działu Zaufania i Bezpieczeństwa i zastąpił go AI.

                                                              Bardzo fajnie"

Sporo nowych możliwości wnosi to "ai" xD
