Elon Musk said he was taking legal action against one of Germany’s public broadcasters after it reported that he had called for “a hunt for migrants” in Belfast.

But getting poor people to riot and destroy other poor people’s homes and infrastructure must tickle some inhumane part of #Musk’s brain.

‘At the post-PMQs lobby briefing the PM’s spokesperson was asked what Keir #Starmer meant at PMQS when he told Ed Davey that the government would crack down on “anyone who is fuelling this division” on social media. (See 12.30pm.) This was in response to a question about Elon #Musk.

The spokesperson refused to give details about what a crackdown like this might involve, but he did say: “We’ve taken action before and we won’t hesitate to do that again.”’

And just like that #Musk has responded…claiming the violence has nothing to do such him, #Farage or Far Right…how very convenient.

#Musk believes that he is above the law as the world’s richest person.

He’s testing the parameters of his untouchability by making such a statement.

He’s the bully in the playground taunting #Starmer by saying ‘whatcha gonna do ‘bout it?’

And what is Starmer going to practically do about it? He needs a real answer and fast.

The last time I used twitter was in Oct 2022.

#Musk had completed his purchase of the platform and I realised it wasn’t a place I wished to be anymore…

It no longer served the purpose that it had done for me - a place where those intent upon #ClimateAction could meet and share information in a positive and constructive manner.

I was curious about this thing called ‘Mastodon’…so I joined and I have zero regrets.

Why would I decide to write this today of all days…because I just cannot comprehend why what seemed so obvious to me in October 2022 still doesn’t seem to register for so many.

I feared that online brutality would lead to physical violence on a terrifying scale.

That has happened in various parts of the world since Oct 2022…but it felt very obvious to me seeing the reports coming out of #Belfast last night that this is very real in the UK.

#Musk is targeting us…what is UK government doing???

UK politicians and the government should lead by example.

If they're serious about reducing the influence of harmful social platforms, they should engage with citizens in federated spaces, rather than Musk's rage-fuelled machine.

A healthier Internet is possible, if we only choose to build it.

Federated and decentralised platforms show that another model is possible.

They're not perfect, but they reduce dependence on any single owner, platform, algorithm, or business model of driving hate for profit.

We can't have someone like Musk giving himself a megaphone and deciding what an entire network sees.

This is why I wrote a book about narcissists. They really are this dangerous. Musk has no conscience or empathy, which he regards as a weakness. They are and do great evil. Tribal societies killed them because…they were evil. What else would a sane tribe do, promote them to the highest positions and make them rich beyond belief? That would be stupid, nobody would do that.
