This is my new, future account. While most interaction still happen on the bsd.cafe one, I aim to migrate fully here.

I am posting mostly culture, emacs, bsd and anti-ai based ramblings. I don't curse and I try not bait people into pointless anger rages.

I am a nerd (or dork? I don't know), a software engineer and I started to hate what technology has bacame.

This is a self-hosted, single-user instance running on snac2.

The gaming is not dying (yet). Big tech is bleeding, like it does everywhere. But there's still a thriving indie scene. Sadly, yes - it's Steam centric, but it's there! And I think Nintendo can't stop winning the console wars?

@michal Actually, indie are pretty much thriving on Nintendo Switch also.
Of course, Steam makes it easy for any strangest thing on Earth to be published, but eShop is very good in this respect too. Many indie game devs even acknowledge they earn more on eShop because of better visibility.
Also, Switch already feels like a perfect indie machine: it's portable and small and feels natural for small and cool games.
