I was to no-computer, but this? This is perfection. Colbert is an amazing host. Also: I love the idea of the talk show. It looks exactly like the talk show from Parks and Rec sitcom - up to the camera angle. Is it standard?

              I reached Children of Dune, which means I moved from the modern hardcover Rebis editions (to the left) to classic, 1992 paper back Phantom Press (right photo) and what an upgrade it is. Lighter, yellower, nicer to look at and I can use it with one hand. I could kill someone with the hardcover, but I don't this is the point.

              And it has wear. The spine is broken! Someone read it (bought it 2nd hadn), it was a shelve decoration. I'd have to throw the hardcover at wall for it gain any character.

              Stop using books as gifts and start treating them as cheap entertainment. Because they should have always been cheap... and soft.

              @michal For that reason, I usually prefer digital versions and e-ink reader. And treat paper books more like collectibles, that feel nice, look nice on a shelf, but not very convinient to read.

                Almost all of Donald Duck comics are from Italy. Italy is the primary source of Disney comics, as USA is too preoccupied with boring superheroes and France/Belgium are too busy creating their own comics.

                        @michal Lobbying was always a corrupt practice. I used to suggest Congress-critters should be required to wear jackets with the logos of all the corps which paid them. Lobbyists *write laws* which Congress passes.

                        What Trump has done is just naked corruption, but at scale. No one in our history has done this more openly or at such a scale as this. He had DOJ settle his suit against the IRS by handing him a slush fund. The papers say $1.7 Billion, but there is NO NUMBER in the agreement. Theft.
