@michal https://www.unihertz.com/en-de/products/jelly-star That one? Isn't that a tad too small to be comfortable?
(I found the iPhone 13 mini to be a bit large at times. iPhone 4 was perfect.)
@michal Well on the size of 13 mini or 4 being very nice I can wholeheartedly agree. Those were comfortable sizes. I was thinking back to a Sony Xperia-smartphone I had many years ago that looked quite similar. Was super pocketable and nice to phone with, but everything else was... meh.
@michal Well in that regard I really love my Nokia flipphone and would really love to still be able to use my Xperia Pro with slider-keyboard.
@michal Just on the weekend my chunky Samsungs battery ran out and I had to be reachable - so I tossed the sim-card into my Nokia Flipphone and went out and about. Gosh golly, it was liberating af.
I used a Jelly 2 (~74mm screen diagonal) for months. The only time I had real issues with it was looking at maps. I am using a Jelly Max right now. Size is fine for me. I just replaced the screen (myself, with parts Unihertz sells on their website) last week rather than get a newer phone
Like I said, the 74mm device was fine, until I needed to look at maps. Absent that, I would have used it longer. The Jelly Max is much bigger, but still a lot smaller than other phones. I got a lot of attention using the tiny Jelly 2, including comparisons to Zoolander. And it was delightfully light in my pocket
@michal I wonder how much of that price is driven by RAM costs? I recently bought some servers. Double the RAM doubled the price. So Dell is giving away their servers for free, but charging only for RAM. Weird.
